About Swedish Women’s Educational Association North Carolina

SWEA is a global organization with a unique international network for Swedes and Swedish-speaking women who are, or have been, living abroad. SWEA is present on all continents in 77 departments.

By gathering Sweor around our common language, our Swedish origin, and cultural heritage, SWEA becomes both a meeting point and a safety net with links all over the world.

SWEA provides support when emigrating and moving between countries, as well as welcoming and supporting when returning to Sweden.

SWEA is the largest non-profit organization promoting Sweden outside of Sweden and our aim is to promote the Swedish language and spread Swedish culture and tradition.

SWEA North Carolina was formed in 1997, and has about 80 members of varying ages.
